Solitaire

Heart of smoke without the flame,
Tears fall on an empty stage.
Dancing alone,
To an audience nine thousand.
Roaring cheers go unheard.

All alone in a crowded room,
Solitaire played by ten.
Deserted while surrounded by,
A multitude.
Still feeling lost, destination’s end,
All the maps are burned.
A stranger in familiar land,
Loneliness for sale.

Feeling hands but no warmth comes,
Faces fade into the fog.
Running to,
The crowd that pulls you in,
But no one’s there, it’s been a dream.

All alone in a crowded room,
Solitaire played by ten.
Deserted while surrounded by,
A multitude.
Still feeling lost, destination’s end,
All the maps are burned.
A stranger in familiar land,
Loneliness for sale.

Lost.
Trying to find the way.
Alone.
Wanting to feel alive.
Forgotten.
Longing for that love.
Lost.
Trying to find the way.

All alone in a crowded room,
Solitaire played by ten.
Deserted while surrounded by,
A multitude.
Still feeling lost, destination’s end,
All the maps are burned.
A stranger in familiar land,
Loneliness for sale.
